I keep meaning to take a bin bag with me on my walks, just to do my bit in preserving nature.....Perpetuahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01214396019726161983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-876862148358784705.post-85893103883420633562013-01-02T07:39:28.309+00:002013-01-02T07:39:28.309+00:00Your post about debris on the beach brings back ch...Your post about debris on the beach brings back childhood memories of collecting firewood on Withernsea beach during the war years. There were other treasures arrived when ships were sunk in the North Sea including hundreds of grapefruits on one occasion. They were covered in an inch or so of tarry residue but inside were perfect. A rare treat for kids who had never seen a grapefruit before!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10140610429655265551noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-876862148358784705.post-9266607769058940362012-12-31T01:01:11.296+00:002012-12-31T01:01:11.296+00:00I'd just love to know how some of the people g...I'd just love to know how some of the people got home with just one trainer?

Hope you have even more success in 2013,

Lucylucy joyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04863146546863419637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-876862148358784705.post-31880248527416576612012-12-30T19:52:49.765+00:002012-12-30T19:52:49.765+00:00Although we too had to search through large amount...Although we too had to search through large amounts of plastic, Carys and I found some fantastic pieces of sea glass at Portreath yesterday. Like you and Jane I'm disgusted by all the plastic, but secretly want to discover discarded buoys, floats and the right shaped lumps of driftwood. Fossils, shells, stones and a complete bird's skull are my more natural treasures collected from a lifetime of looking down all the time whilst beach walking.

Seaton Sluice!
